The biggest threat to christianity is people calling themselves christians and not living christlike lives..... so with that said...
hush up and pay taxes like everyone else....

that is not accurate, but it very well should be! you should see the huge monstrosities that the churches build over here in san antonio. they not only build huge but build in very pricey residential areas, depriving the county of much needed tax dollars and places to build more housing. the churches should take vows of poverty and stay out of government and immigration matters.

I think he is too, which is exactly why I will vote for him seven times

Seperation doesn't apply to taxation dope....it was written under the spirit of public education...tis better to keep your mouth shut and be thought an idiot rather than to open your mouth and remove all doubt

Even Jesus isn't safe from the tax and spend liberals.

You know queens....if they would just read the Constitution, they'd know that Congress shall make no laws respecting an establishment of religion. But they're so scared the Al-Qaboogieman is hiding in their baptismal pool. At the shallow end.

I have no issue with churches paying their fair share. They pretty much burn the tax exempt bridge everytime they involve themselves with politics.

Unfortunately I have to disagree with my fellow dems posting. Many small, struggling churches would simply vanish if they were taxed. I think though that a (tax) line should be developed and drawn between those mega churches that are clearly out there to collect tons of money from their parishioners that all too often end up lining the pockets of their dubious founders. And I'm pretty sure I've heard Obama speak often and openly about the good works of church communities.

Quite true. People like the poster have no idea what it means to be a Christian [if they did then they would vote for Obama
