Do you think Wal-mart should be held accountable for its discriminatory practices?
a class action suit pending against Lowe's and Home Depot- they used to pay "Chinese overtime" (their phrase not mine) and screwed people with their O/T even managers.

As a Lowe's employee, I know firsthand where you're coming from. You people continue to pour into Lowe's, Wal-Mart, Home Depot, etc. without having any compassion for just how miserably many of their employees are treated by their superiors. Why? I haven't stepped foot into a Wal-Mart ever since I watched the documentary "Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price." If I managed to avoid shopping at Wal-Mart when I only earned $13,000 last year, then why can't those of you who earn much more than that also "take a stand" to stick up for fair treatment in the workplace? Vote with your feet; don't shop at stores that knowingly mistreat their workers!
And I am so pleased to see Wal-mart presented as the villain it is in the press--the liberal press; the progressive press; the conservative press and the moderate press!
On the list of the richest folks either in the US or the **m world, the owners ranked 1, 2, 3 and 4!

Isn't it the illegals who are hurting the poor of America? How dare anyone suggest that corporations whose CEO's, on average, earn 400 times more than the average worker, are anything other than benevolent benefactors to the American Dream!
Illegals (grumble, grumble)....receiving ss benefits (whine, whine).
The real threat to this country are those unaccountable corporations whose sole raison d’être is to generate larger and larger profits.
I fully support the workers of Wal Mart in the pursuit of a fairer wage.
I think those stinkers should be held accountable for everything.
Next, they can start on getting back pay for those working folks they screwed out of their overtime.
You'll be happy to know that they have been brought to task. Last week all Wal-Mart employes were briefed that they would be getting their overtime money. Can't remember the figures that was on the news but it's a pretty sizable sum being paid out to 95000 employees.
