The way I feel is that credit cards are issued all over the world and we are the only country with SS#s. If the banks have another way of tracking/verifying these people, then what difference does it make? If they could apply for a credit card in Mexico and get one, what difference does it make if they apply here?
See, they're doing it here in the USA. You know where citizens need SS#'s. Why should they get special treatment, considering they illegals and law-breakers

here there is ALOT of fraud due to fake/or no SS#'s- then the cardholder goes into default- and then the bank raises interest yet again. It has a built in no-win situation for U.S. citizens. Have you ever been to Mexico? Unless its Mexico City there are no jobs, banks, credit or infrastructure. People live on the streets across from the Ritz-Carlton in Acapulco.

It should be up to the bank. If they feel confident enough to take the risk, then they should be able to loan their money to whomever they choose.

Right- but we all suffer when the interest rates go sky-high due to default on sub-prime cards/loans.
