If you were innocent until proven guilty you wouldn't have to post a bail to get out of jail.

And just WHAT would those families do?

Attempt contacting the deaf ear of the White House?

Post bail? Oh, wait! NO charges, NO bail.

So all of those German prisoners brought here during WWII should had had their day in court or turned loose, is that what you are saying?

Being soldiers in the uniform of an enemy state made them de facto enemies with no other process necessary.

It certainly dosen't make EVERYONE not wearing a uniform our enemy!

Or do we just emulate Stalin and say an enemy is anyone we say is, no other evidence needed?

Now, let's say their home country doesn't want them after Obama releases them. Would you welcome them to your town/city?
If George Bush locked people up for 8 years without charging them with anything, never provided them with an attorney and denied them the right to file a writ of habeas corpus, what would your reaction be?

Oh, wait. Never mind.

That's my point, other than becoming damn mad about what in some cases has been no doubt unjustified imprisonment what can the families do?

If the US is going to act like the 800lb gorilla in the room it'd better be prepared to be treated like an animal.
