Is it too much to ask that our Elected Officials be cognizant of our Constitution? The "whole reason" for the Fourteenth Amendment was to grant citizenship to free blacks and give them equal protection under the law.

And, while the topic of debt is mentioned in a subsection of the Fourteenth Amendment:

We have a Senile President and in their infinite wisdom, the State of Pennsylvania elected this Stroke Victim who has lived off his Parents for his entire life, suffers from Depression and can barely Read or Talk.

THIS is the Democrat Party — totally clueless about the US Constitution and the LAW in our Nation.
The Democrats couldn’t even bother to find this sick man a marginally competent Staff.

Because they want to pass more Green New Deal and Build Back Better bills in the future. These, plus all the Climate Change stuff, will cost many trillions to implement, which we don't have, so they just want to borrow and print to pay for it.

The GOP doesn't want to pass any of those bills, but can't leave the vote to chance, so by putting a cap on spending they effectively hamstring the bills.

Neither side gives a wet crap about spending, IMO.

Are you f-ing kidding? Sadly, I know you’re not. The GOP is all about government goodies and handouts for rich people. It’s disgusting. Trump would be thousandaire if it weren’t for the government sugar the GOP gives to his ilk. Wake up. The real welfare queens are the donor class the GOP falls over itself to reward with even more ill gotten gains. Kick these queens off welfare. We could balance the budget overnight.

Absolutely. This has been proven time and time again. Those who think the Republicans are the party of fiscal responsibility are living 50 years in the past. They are all about robbing the poor to give to the rich. Country be damned.
