Haggard forced by his own church that he founded to never preach again and to reside outside of the state of Colorado.

Can they really force somebody to leave the state?

What is the deal with that? That is crazy. Christians are obviously not so forgiving. I also thought Colorado was less of a conservative state. I guess it is also very religious too.

I don't like Ted Haggard but I feel that Christians just look bad because of their unforgiving ways and their punitive ways as demonstrated in this situation. Not on is Ted hypocritical but so are his followers.

Thoughts and opinions.

He's promoting that HBO documentary, which evidently portrays him, or lets himself portray himself, as a victim. That's why this victim of his has come forward now, because he feels Ted is a predator, not a victim.

The question of the limits of Christian forgiveness is fascinating I think. Theres a thread on this that has a lot of excellent links to Colorado Springs news about the church and Ted, and what Rev Boyd at least has done to extend forgiveness and Christian love to Ted.

Did the Oprah program bring up this new news, this man who came forward as a result of the documentary?

His church still loves him. They just love him from afar these days.

The farther, the better.

Bye, Ted.

Does anybody wish to discuss...

This dude is Gay. Just listen to how he speaks, don't you notice that effeminate tone in his voice?

Why would any straight married man want to hook up with other men - especially male prostitutes??????

No gettng over it, Haggard isn't straight. What's worse is he's a closet Gay. A hidden Homo. A fagg in the bagg!!!!!! They're the worst kind because they go around preaching against Homosexuality and pretending to be something they're not.

Pure hypocrite!!!!!!

The Church was right for forcing him out. Not because he's Gay, but because he's a hypocrite.

If he had started from the position as having homo leanings to begin with then it wouldn't be so bad for him now. But he became a pastor all the while pretending to be completely normal. His actions have hurt the cause of his church.

Yeah, we have reas strict "banishment" laws here in CO. Any church can ban ex-pastors or even "regular everyday sinners" from the state! In fact I, as an individual can ban from the state for 1 year any golfer who fails to repair ball marks on the green, 18 months if they're a gay golfer. Grocery stores can ban customers from the state who take more than 10 items into the "10 or less" lane.

Face it, this guy is a lying SACK! Other than the money I'm not sure why Ms Pelosi (a talented filmmaker, daughter of Speaker of the House, Nancy-I guess now wingers can hate her) continues to film documentaries on LIARS. One of her other HBO docs was "Travels With George" ("W" that is).

In the snippets I've seen he tells at least TWO LIES, either by ommission or commission; 1. poor mouthing! I wonder what he did with the $300K that the church gave him as "severance"? 2. "I never preached against gays, I just advocated the benefits of man/woman and children being raised by a man/woman couple". This is COMPLETE BS. Just watch "Jesus Camp" to watch him do EXACTLY THAT.

I can understand his being unable to deal with his homosexuality. Kermit sang it best, "It's Tough To Be G(ay)reen". Especially in a society with so many "public figures like Haggard, Fallwell and the rest of the (Ir)religious Right. What I can't understand is HIS WIFE. JFC lady, get those kids OUT OF THERE YOU CRAZY B***H.

It would be better for everyone, but he cant or wont. Maybe this sad passive-aggressive arrangement works for him.
