Palin's legal debts pile up

Gov. Sarah Palin owes more than a half million dollars to an Anchorage law firm that has defended her against ethics complaints, and she may create a legal fund to pay the bill, she said Friday.

Legal bills have mounted fighting complaints that she called partisan, false and frivolous, starting with "the politically motivated Troopergate probe," Palin said in a written response to questions.
She said the legal bills all stem from her actions as governor.
"I must defend against these baseless ethics accusations out of my own pocket as the use of public monies to do so could itself violate state law," Palin wrote.

Reminds me of Slick Willie's defense fund.

The economy aided Obama. In short.

It's not that he was absolutely gonna fix it.

But when something is going terrible wrong, the anti-incumbency factor comes in.

No other way Obama was gonna win

Anyway, they were bashing GW's astronomical budget deficit. The current budget is projected to do four times more, LOL.

I didn't think GW will build such great legacy so fast.

This was not widely reported, but Palin often drew bigger crowds at rallies than McCain. This offended and frightened McCain and his liberal buddies and is why the McCain camp trashed her after the election was over. But this is nothing new. JFK and Johnson couldn't stand each other for the same reason: one was conservative and the other was liberal.

Palin drew bigger crowds because people love to see a car wreck. If you ever noticed all the rubber necking delays due to an accident on the side of the road. That and they were curious how many times that she was going to make that clicking noise.
