I have tried to listen to the Rush Limbaugh show but how much ignorant, angry, uninformed garbage can a moron spout before we switch him off. Limbaugh is a pathetic right wing shock jock... nothing more. The only people he can "preach" to are the already converted and the dull of brain who are easily brainwashed. He showed his true colors by calling the young lady a Sl*t and now is running for the hills with a apology in case she sues his butt............ he truly is the king of moron ruling over moron island.
I have no idea why anyone listens to any talk radio shows. If you need someone to tell you how to think, then its time for you to consider exiting planet earth.
This 'just listen to Rush' meme is a fairly common one amongst his listeners. Even if Rush's opinions are defensible (and I think that they are as far as I know them, for the most part anyway... this latest one a decided exception), his tone towards liberals is not exactly respectful. So one is looking to convert them, or get them to at least entertain conservative notions, Rush Limbaugh is not where one should be directing them. I can't think of a good populist conservative voice; maybe Newt, maybe Bill O'Reilly if they just read his transcripts since his style is offputting to many. I'd direct the more well-read liberals to the City Journal or Walter Russell Mead. But we live in an age where everyone seems to think they have the right not only to their own opinions (regardless of how well informed they might be) but to their own facts as well. I can't see much hope for 'converting' anyone who is thus caught up.
I found that he provides partially true crap, spins it, and loudly denigrates others. He's not honest.
Anyone with half a braincell couldn't bear listening to that blowhard past the first bellicose muttering. He's so bad he stinks up your livingroom via the airwaves, and even the dog won't stay in the room.
Most of us have at one time or another tuned in to Limbaugh and made the decision as to whether his brand of commentary and opinion were worth listening to, i dont have to listen to his diatribe today to judge what he's all about as obviously he hasnt changed his shtick,
same old whiny,confrontational ultra rightwing garbage that he's been spewing for at least the last decade, so tuning in to his show today has no more interest to me as it did 10 years ago,the word sheeple is a very good term to describe his followers as no matter what he says they agree blindly like a herd of sheep making him millions in the process.
Its almost embarrassing as an American to have this idiot speaking out on public radio trying to be an ambassador for American ideals and virtues..
I have friends in England who have heard this guy and they ask me 'this guy aint for real is he? he's kinda like Monty Python mixed with Professional wrestling isnt he?' Sadly i have to respond with- he's a real radio personality that thinks what he says is legitimate and relevant ..Really? they say,thats bizarre..
I don't listen to him but then I don't listen to Bill Maher either. Only thing is Maher gets away with anything he says---others don't.
