i think that we should seriously limit immigration to the usa. and only allow it during times when jobs are plentiful. and even then, cap the number at a few hundred thousand a year. yea this country was founded on immigrants, but this country now has 300 million people. it worked back then because we needed people to come here to settle our unexplored lands. enough is enough now.

also i think that we need a higher minimum wage ($10) and tie it to inflation. and provide tax benefits to companys who use american labor, and tax burdens to those who outsource.

With the economy crumbling and unemployment at a record high, I think that there should be a temporary moratorium on all immigration until all Americans who wish to be gainfully employed find jobs.

Additionally, with the exception of emergency treatment, all illegal aliens should be turned away from medical facilities. The 14th amendment should be abolished and all welfare, public housing and other taxpayer funded benefits should be exclusively reserved for Americans. No more taxpayer funded education/ESL rewarded to the children of illegal aliens and everyone else who manages to elude border control, and give birth on American soil.

Once the American people wake up and start to demand that our government strictly enforces the immigration laws currently on the books and they adhere to our demands, only then should limited numbers of legal immigration resume. It's time to get back to the original premise of legal immigration: to fill the need of an employer that NO AMERICAN can.

It's time for all illegal aliens to go home and create their (insert name of country here) Dreams and stop killing ours.
