How can he say that he never supported prop 8?

He probably just read the writing and the wall and is doing what he has to in order to remain relevant. We have lot's of examples of what happens to people who DON'T in the "where are they now" files.

OMG, am I the only one who saw the irony in this!!!?

It's sad gay people are out there trying to ruin private individuals who have a different opinion than their own with unright harassment?

Lets see the degree to which gay people are out there ruining private lives and harassing innocent people compared to the levels at which people in this country will fight to the death against any legalization of marriage or partnership rights for gay people they'll NEVER meet. In the end all gay people want is to be left alone to marry, love and live with someone they want without having to explain their love to everyone who disagrees. As if gay people want to marry just because gay marriage is apparently going to DESTROY MARRIAGE. Ahh! Run for the hills, two guys I don't know just kissed each other in a neighboring town! Bring on the fireballs from the sky and destruction of our children!

Exactly. That's why I'll never accept any disagreement when it comes to gay marriage.

If you are against marriage equality, you are a bigot. There's no gray area.

Sorry, but I'm not interested in seeing your religion trump the Constitution in this country. If you'd like to take part in a theocracy where you can use religion as an excuse to hate other people and trample their rights, then please by all means, move to Iran.

Is anybody else tired of these so called Christians who pick and choose what they want out of the bible? You either subscribe to everything in that book, or you don't. I see nothing but a group of bigots who want to cherry pick out of their book of rules and apply them to people they don't like while avoiding all the other messages.

Very well said.

Tax Exempt Status;

In Danger;

Nothing More, Nothing Less;

Money Talks;

End of Story.

(Hilarious how you folks think this is some re-jiggering of his belief system all of a sudden. His church has had recent financial woes. Not to mention the government has questioned his political dealings, thus putting the church's tax exempt status in jeopardy.) (Everyone of you Christian-haters look really, really stupid right about now. Can we say gullible? Simple-minded?)

I find these calculations perplexing, don't you?

"Warren says he “reverse tithes”—gives 90% of his income to his church."

Quote:
I’m wondering how that works. Current charitable deductions are limited to 50% of AGI. Anything beyond that can be carried over to future years, but that wouldn’t help Warren if he gives 90% every year.
Quote:
If he actually donated 90% every year, he’d still pay tax on half of his income. If he earns $10 million and pays an average of 30% in tax, he’d have to pay 30% of $5 million, or $1.5 million in tax. Given that he only keeps $1 million, he’d come up $500,000 short every year.

You didn't even address the point of that post (but, then again, that's the typical Xtian way).
