I like Glock, Springfield rifles, Colt variant rifles, and Mossberg, Remington shotguns.

i've never owned a gun and was just curious what people think are the best gun brands. the way the world is going i might need to get one someday.

I buy certain firearms because they work best for me or my GF. I am used to these types of firearms and would try something else if they were any better for the uses I have for them.

You have to try them out for yourself to see what works best for you.

Also, alot of firearm stores/ranges will let you rent firearms for use on their property, letting you see what you like and to see how the firearm fits you.

My favorite semi-auto pistol is a Colt 1911. But, mine was made in 1916. I haven't handled one of their recently made ones...
