I guess a retitling of this thread could be:

"What would your platform be if you were a politician?"

or

"What are your core values on current issues? (regardless of party affiliation)"

Huge on my list (what I want)...
1. Prosecution of Last Regime regarding Torture

3. End to War on Drugs
4. End to prosecutions for victimless crimes
5. End all foreign aid, especially to Israel

6. Death penalty (except to ensure it's only used for murder)

Issues I care about:
1. Anti-Abortion
2. Pro-Universal Health Care in some form
3. Pro Education Reform (Support Public Ed.!)
4. Pro Social Security Reform (KEEP S.S.!)
5. Anti-Torture
6. Anti pre-emptive war
7. Pro fiscal responsibility--avoid borrowing if possible.
8. Pro middle class

Issues I don't care about/no opinion

2. Climate Change
3. Death Penalty--figuring that one out.

Probably some more, but I'm tired. Good night!

Hmm, my platform would be: Anti gun control, pro marijuana legalization, pro states rights, pro choice(as long as it is not used as a form of birth control) TR style foriegn policy, pro strong military, health care reform is something I think needs to be re vamped, but I'm not so sure a NHC is the answer, back to basics education reform ( I admire the Japanese in this issue) serious tax and budget reform, victims rights legislation......Not so important issues: Gay marriage ( no way I would call a Constitutional convention for this issue) 'green' anything as a top priority, 'animal rights' 'reforming' of criminals and spending obscene amounts of money on research into this.( Crime= Punishment, )....so many others but I'm tired too..................
