CNSNews.com - CIA Confirms: Waterboarding 9/11 Mastermind Led to Info that Aborted 9/11-Style Attack on Los Angeles (http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=46949 - broken link)

The CIA say something else.

Quote:
(CNSNews.com) - The Central Intelligence Agency told CNSNews.com today that it stands by the assertion made in a May 30, 2005 Justice Department memo that the use of “enhanced techniques” of interrogation on al Qaeda leader Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) -- including the use of waterboarding -- caused KSM to reveal information that allowed the U.S. government to thwart a planned attack on Los Angeles.
Quote:
Before they were subjected to “enhanced techniques” of interrogation that included waterboarding, KSM and Zubaydah were not only uncooperative but also appeared contemptuous of the will of the American people to defend themselves.
This information was conveniently deleted by obama from those memos he released.

Why?

Obviously, we won't get a clear understanding of this issue because there are competing camps in the various agencies. Some people are covering their asses while others are looking under every rock. I would love this to get resolved and the guilty people get sent to jail, but I am now losing my faith. I think a new distraction will be created to divert our attention, or it'll run its course so that we all lose our respect for our country and concede to a replacement. Either way, it'll be used to someone else's advantage and the American people will be the losers. Pity, we never really get the truth without the power that comes from it getting usurped by others!

I believe terrorism is deliberately initiated (for divide and conquer) and people run with it. You can make any two groups hate each other and when that settles into their psyches, all kinds of horrible things get started.

All we need to do is realize we're being used and resist the carefully laid plans to have us all kill each other.

Two plus two add up to four in a logical, intelligent world. With the Bush/Cheney sympathizers it adds up to whatever numbers they are told it does. There is no intelligent debate with anyone that still does not see the evil that resided in the White House while the buffoon and the vampire were there.

Maybe when you talk to other "true-believers" repeating it over and over makes it true..........just not in the real world.

Exactly. CNS is engaging as usual in palavering excusification. Jose Padilla was arrested months before the torture of Abu Zubaida was authorized, and the supposed plot to attack the US Bank Tower was uncovered a year before Kalid Sheikh Mohammed was so much as captured. These are examples of the ridiculous extremes that the right-wing is willing to go to in attempts to cover its tracks and escape responsibility for the utterly disastrous nature of its unfortunate years in power...

Looks to me like Obama is holding Cheney's shriveled little pair, and pretty tightly.
