Right now there is nothing stopping gay people from marrying--the question is who they will marry. If you want to create a law that allows them to marry someone of the same gender, then yes--it is a special law.
I'm sorry...but I find it discriminatory to allow gay people a form of marriage that I won't have access to.
Who says you wouldn't have access to it? If same sex marriage becomes the law throughout the nation, you would have the same access to it as any gay or lesbian couple. Just because you might not want to marry someone of the same gender as you doesn't mean you couldn't do it.

But, but, but other people will get the exact same rights I have in a manner that in no way, shape or form harms or even affects me. Can't you see how that is discrimination against me and clearly makes me a victim.
No you see I don't go around teaching anything, You Homosexuals are the ones pushing how it's normal to be a Homosexual when in fact your confusing the youth and causing them harm, your agenda puts books and classes in schools teaching it's all normal, I do nothing except give my opinion on a forum, I have no books nor teach any classes on common sense.
Keep your Homosexual agenda out of the schools, your causing harm to the children.
Where in his statement did he say he was homosexual?
I'm not, straight as an arrow. But I know I didn't choose to be straight, guys just don't turn me on.
As such, I know its not a choice.
And youths are catching on because they understand that your POV is wrong. Just like my grandfathers view of black folks was wrong, and I grew up knowing that.
Huh? I could care less what any religion has to say about marriage. The fight for equal civil marriage rights has NOTHING, ZIP, ZERO, ZILCH, to do with religious marriage.
BS if that’s the case then why haven't you Homosexuals went after Federal Civil Unions with all of the same rights as marriage?
Why do you try to fight for each state when the President of the United States of America is offering his endorsement for every right you claim you want?

You don't know much about legal marriage do you?
When you get your marriage license, and both parties sign it, and its notarized, you are married, period. No ceremony needed.
The vows are just for show.
You can go before any priest in the country and take marriage vows, without a license, it means nothing legally.
And yours will die with you, big deal. All fads die off at some point in time and yours will too.
Civil rights a fad? Yeah, ok. Thats why the Klan is so popular today.
