What a load of steaming crap. Not all of us SAHM's view our CHOICE as some kind of affront to feminism. Please, anyone who has read my postings here ... do I seem like one of these quivering idiots?

I didn't mean to say that being a SAHM is an affront to feminism. I am a SAHM! Clearly these people take it to the extreme.
Isn"t the world population problem a deterrent to these people. Don't they realize that they are not thinking of the future world their kids and kid's kids will have to grow up in? It is very selfish and uninsightful. This is also a case of compound interest. What if all of these kids choose the same lifestyle and they each have 18 kids? Staggering! No wisdom went into this decision.
There are two families at my church that practice this--nothing like the duggars, but they have a lot of kids. They're wonderful, decent people who can afford all their kids. Some of the younger women began down that path but changed their minds pretty quick.
But for myself? Sorry. I'm a birth control guy. Kids are a blessing, but a very expensive one, and I want some money leftover after I'm done raising them. Also, what's so un-christian about natural family planning? I mean, self discipline is a christian virtue too.

I don't think many people think about world population when they're shagging I don't want many kids, but the world population is the least of my reasons. I just want to invest in a few children as opposed to spreading my resources over ten of 'em. It's about economics to me, more or less. And frankly, the type of women who would want a quiver full of kids aren't my type.
