Next year, the 2010 Census will be sent to every American household, as required by the U.S. Constitution.

The interesting thing about that is that in 2010 Minnesota is in danger of loosing a congressional seat because they will not have high enough census numbers too keep all 8 seats. Additionally considering the democratic controlled state legislature there, it very well could be her seat that vanishes.

Point me to something that says Bachman is breaking the law by only submitting the number of members in her household?

Where did you get "breaking the law" from?

Palin, Limbaugh, Hannity, Bush, Cheney, Bachman. What do they have in common? An infatuation by the left. Much ado about nothing, as usual.

I think it probably comes from the U S Census Bureau remark in the Washington Times article.

Yes indeed. I think if MN did loose a district it would be quite likely for the dems in the state legislature to make the 3 current republican reps there, Bachmann, Klein, and Paulsen, play musical chairs over 2 house seats especially considering the geography is right for it not to be gerrymandering.

I plan on taking a dump in a box and sending that in. isn't thinkprogress a tabloid started by a bunch of 4 year olds? I find it kind of funny that thinkprogress is concerned about someone not wanting to tell how many people live in their house, but they are ok with electing a drug addict as president. I guess some laws are more important than others.

ps. who or what is bachman?

Ah, ok. I didn't see that one-liner.

Of course the standard response is "possible fines of up to $XXX", but has the Census bureau ever persued those that refuse?
