I was just asking why Obama felt that he had the right to get into family affairs. I've seen what this Obama guy has done over numerous forums, making honest, law abiding Americans fight each other over a war of words.
Bush's speech was nothing that any middle class, normal US dad wouldn't know. It wasn't inspiring to most who are good dads. It was little more than preachy......who made Bush the great keeper and judge of values anyway? If Bush wanted to help the problem, maybe he should have taken one of his many vacations to any large city in Texas where missing fathers are rampant. Normal, average, hard working, all American dads are doing their job and don't need a lecture from Bush.....Bush, the one who did drugs.....had a mostly absentee father (http://www.electhobie.com/BushFamilyPsychology.html - broken link)......grew up in Ivory Tower surroundings.....lies....etc, etc.

I got an E-mail from Mrs Obama about fathers day. Am I to believe its something she always wanted to do but waited until now? Or was it just a publicity thing dreamed up by his PR folks?

Not hating on him, just pointing out a fact many posters here seem to forget. I seem to remember a guy named Jesse Jackson saying the same thing, oh, 20 years ago. And more recently some guy with an EdD, I believe his name is William Cosby. As di former MD Lt. Gov. Michael Steele Saw a lot of criticism/hate directed towards both.

Then you must not be a parent, a teacher, a minister, a healthcare provider, a job supervisor, an outdoor guide, in a position of service to people....
Obama is not a good parent. Leading a dishonest life is *not* a good example for your children Perhaps he should shut the heck up and go back to what he knows best... lying and cheating!
