I get the impression that many here believe he is.

Is this a serious question? What are you suggesting? That the election was rigged?

While he has broken some promises regarding transparency, etc. I think we've seen what a real authoritarian government is like over the past week with the events in Iran.

I would say some elements of our government are authoritarian and crappy, but it's not like this is something specific to Obama.

To answer the question, no.

To go further, I think you fall quickly for impressions and it does not serve you well.

I voted somewhat agree, but I think you are being a bit too easy here Finkie..

This man built his identity on CHANGE and transparency.. He has turned out to be just another authoritarian puppet of global financial oligarchs.

He is outbushing Bush and has trampled on our freedoms and civil liberties from day one.

Agreed. Breaking promises does not equate to dictatorship. I'd guess that every president has broken some promises. Executive orders and czar appointments are authoritarian actions of the executive branch, but they don't make the president a dictator.

One could argue that Obama's increasing use of czar's are similar to a dictatorship style. Obama has more czars than the Romanovs - who ruled Russia for 3 centuries.

I may not agree with him on alot of issues, but I don't consider him a dictator.
