Detroit protests Colt 45, an equal opportunity high

Quote:
According to a story published in 2000 in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (and not readily available online), quoting Miller's own figures, "African-Americans buy 66% of the nation's malt liquor, with Caucasians accounting for 27% of the market."

Since 82% of the population of Detroit is African-American, according to the U.S. Census, Detroit is clearly a prime market for Colt 45.
Excuse me?!

What a bunch of idiots in Detroit.

This is what racism actually looks like:

Maybe the council is holding out for a payout?

Either that or maybe they prefer Old English

Seriously, as the article states minorities compromise the vast majority of its sales, so Detroit seems like a good spot to market it.

Billboards?

That's the biggest fish to fry in Detroit?

That city gets more and more irrelevant every day.

This is not a major story. I went to the Detroit New and Free Press websites just to see where this story was located when compared to other news, and I could not even find it. (I did follow the link given by the poster, so I am aware that this story is located somewhere in the Metro/State section of the Detroit News, but it's not even on the front page of that section). I would hardly call this a big story in Detroit.

I think it's more racist to call this racist. that's assuming that blacks like colt 45. I mean, who doesn't like a nice warm colt 45 or king cobra tallboy? we're only human right?
