There is religion and there are "religions". I believe there is a vast differance between traditional religion and the left leaning "progressive churches" you find today. Liberal and christian is like water and oil.

You are confused and misguided at best. There are religions, churches... and they are made up of "liberals, "conservatives," and everything in between.

There are also very liberal and very conservative churches.

This shouldn't be news to you. Sadly it appears that it is.
