I am all for listening to people's ideas against the healthcare reform. However, if you are going to do it, speak with atleast a 10th grade history education. This whole Obama=Nazi thing just automatically shows how uneducated and stupid some people are. If you are against it, and want to intelligently debate it, great. However, like most people on this forum that just spew ignorant and stupid rambling bs it is just getting annoying. Is anti-intellectualism really running this rampant in this country?

But those are the people the right wing preys on. They speak in half truths and play on words for their agenda. Just like during the election they couldn't bash his policys so they tried to link him with terrorists. Now that didn't work obviously because he got elected, so now the right wing nuts are saying he has NAZI policys. This gets uneducated people like Joe the Plumber hyped up and they go to war for their right wing brain washing shepards. It's actually fun to watch how stupid these people are at the town hall meetings, and watching the republicans say that these retards speak for the majority of America.

I agree, and that's especially ironic since the Nazi's were a right-wing party, not left.

The Nationalist Socialist Party of Germany was on the Left.

You don't understand the roots of fascism. I'd kindly suggest you quit while you are still behind. Arguing from a position of ignorance on a topic you know little about will only make you sound foolish

Please, for the love of god. The taliban is on the far right. That is like liberals calling republicans member of the taliban. (and I am sure it has happend). However, you have to be very very ignorant to history to make such bizarre, baseless, and childish relations between these two. Ever since the founding fathers presidents have been blamed for being to much for big government. It was George washington at first. Ever hear of the issues with the whisky rebellion? Thomas Jefferson was for small local government with limited federal government, but then he expanded federal government twice as big (lousiana purchase ring a bell to you?). People in the beginning of this countries history critized him a lot for it. Read a history book and study the trends of things. Having a president that, oh my god, is working on universal healthcare is not a new issue. This country isn't being handed over to socialist. That argument has been used over and over and over again in this countries history.

Forty-six percent of Americans wanted Sarah Palin to be our Vice President (and potentially President). Rush Limbaugh is the most popular radio talk show host. A majority of Americans believe in creationism over evolution.

The answer to your question: Yes, anti-intellectualism really is running rampant in this country.

Don't forget that 39% want government out of Medicare.
