I am fairly certain that it is illegal to purchase drugs from Canada from the United States, but if there is no enforcement of the law why don't more people do it. In fact, I believe you can get prescription drugs from India and Israel cheaper. Of course I am talking about purchasing over the internet and not actually going to the country.
I do it. There's a specific lidocain numbing cream that I use regularly (I get IV infusions every other week for a genetic disorder) and for some reason, America didn't want to sell it anymore, so I was forced to get some namby pamby generic which didn't work as well and made my skin break out. So, I started ordering it from Canada. No problems and I've been doing it for about 6 years. And yes, it is prescription. Now, they're selling it in the US again, but I've stuck with Canada... it's much easier.
