Why is the MSM always so hysterical about law-abiding gun owners at political events? History suggests it's liberals the Secret Service should be watching.
Actor/Activist John Wilkes Booth shot President Abraham Lincoln on April 14, 1865, because he was opposed to Lincoln’s Republican war policies.
Charles J. Guiteau, who shot President James Garfield in 1881, had a long relationship with a utopian commune called The Oneida Community, where free love and communal child-rearing were practiced.
Leon Czolgosz, who killed President William McKinley in 1901, was a socialist/anarchist who was captivated upon hearing a speech by radical socialist Emma Goldman the year he shot McKinley. If memory serves, Goldman’s inspirational speech had something to do with “hope” and “change.”
John Shrank, who shot and wounded Teddy Roosevelt in 19212, seemed to have no political beliefs other than a strong opposition to third terms.
Giuseppe Zangara, who narrowly missed shooting President-elect Franklin Roosevelt in 1933. Earlier, Zangara had plotted to kill Republican President Herbert Hoover, because both Hoover and Roosevelt were “capitalists.”
Lee Harvey Oswald, who shot President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963, was a stone-cold Communist ever since he read a Communist pamphlet about Julius and Ethel Rosenberg as a teenager.
Sirhan Sirhan, who shot Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Robert Kennedy on June 5, 1968, was a Palestinian extremist angry with Kennedy for his support of Israel.

The right just prefers to go overseas and kill foreign people we don't even know.
Woodrow Wilson (WW1) was a Democrat. FDR (WW2) was a democrat.
Lyndon Johnson (Vietnam) was a democrat. Slick Willy involved us in a bombing campaign in Kosovo.....

Yeah, those peace loving leftwingers...
You're right. And I'd condemn them just as fast as I would the modern Repubs.
Too bad your side of the room is so backwards they still believe it's "god's will" for them to carry out stupid stuff like that.
when lincoln was president, the republican party was the progressive party. i'm simplifying a bit, but the democrats at the time supported limited government and states' rights. sound familiar? booth wasn't opposed to lincoln's "republican war policies", he was opposed to the abolition of slavery. talk about twisting the truth to suit your motives.
i also wouldn't say that being pro-palestine/anti-israel is the sole domain of leftists, although some leftists take that stance. pat buchanan is anti-israel and i wouldn't call him left wing. i don't know what sirhan sirhan's political views were, but calling him left-wing just because he's pro-palestine is a pretty big logical leap.
and we have right-wingers condoning murder in this very thread while simultaneously calling the left violent (based on events the most recent of which was over 40 years ago). wow.
let's see, in the past year on the right we've got:
the holocaust museum shooter
the guy who shot up the church
the guy who shot 5 cops in pittsburgh
the guy who shot tiller
i feel like i'm forgetting someone...
your turn, righties, what's the left done lately?
