No no, I would like the opt-out would cut you off completely.

Like removing a leg due to gangrene.

Don't want, don't use it. Not coming out of your pocket so why would you care if someone without healthcare coverage gets some? Besides, we are not allowed to pick and chose which programs we allow our taxes to pay for, only those that make those choices for us, don't like their actions vote them out, if you can.

where is all of this indignation each and everytime our TAX dollars was sent over to other countries? Where was all of this bytching when billions of our tax dollars funded this defuncted IRAQ war and still continues to fund it. And before anyone says anything, yes the troops need to come home.

yes, he needs the money to keep our economy from collapsing.

This is not about our healthcare costs, it's about controlling our healthcare money.

Then we could just ignore you all...
Why can't drivers who don't want auto insurance "opt out" of having it?

Why can't those opposed to the War of Aggression in Iraq "opt out" of paying for it out of our tax dollars?

The government exists for one reason and one reason only, to protect the citizens of this nation. There are numerous ways they can do this, including ensuring the population is educated, funding and training a military against physical attacks, providing infrastructure for commerce, overseeing imports and exports, regulating businesses to protect citizens from corporate bad acts, and, amongst many other examples, some of us argue, provide for the general health of its citizens.

But that's good for everyone, "you" included.

You still buy that people under the $250K income level are not going to be paying anymore in taxes 3 years from now?

If you are truly a Marine cap. as you state whether retired or in service, then it doesn't affect you since you already get government healthcare.

Nah. It might start at those making over $250K but anyone with a few brain cells working knows that isn't going to do it. The tax increases will eventually creep down to all working people.

It's stupidity really. We're told not to count on SS being there although we've paid into it our whole working lives. I suspect it will be the same for obamacare. Pay for it, but hope you don't need it, because it won't be there for you.
