There's a reason the insurance industry is spending 1.5M/ day to fight this plan. And it isn't because they want to make americans more healthy.

1. You had to be invited to hear a Bush speech; only the loyalists made it in.
2. Would-be protesters were kept blocks away from where Bush 43 was speaking.
3. Would-be protest organizers were visited by the FBI in some cases.

All of the above were tyrannical acts against the First Amendment and the American people. But that was fine, huh?

Amen. The insurance lobby spent $50 million working against health care reform in the first quarter of this year alone.

Then Congress should have just voted it in before they left on break. Pelosi wanted it so did Obama.
What Pelosi will need to do is strong-arm the others into voting YES. Hopefully the members of Congress still have some pet projects up their sleeve they want funded. That will buy their votes just like it did with Cap&Trade.

Unless of course they used all their pork with the stimulus bill Can a Congress person ever really run out of pet projects they want to see funded ?

Glad to see another "When did you stop beating your wife?" type question.

Why bother start thread if you're going to load the question. You are not looking to discuses the topic.

Just a little food for thought for those that say they cannot or do not want to pay for healthcare reform. Clue: YOU ALREADY DO, you pay in the form of higher insurance rates and you pay in the form of higher medical costs. SOMEONE has to pay for those that do not have coverage yet get medical treatment, guess who that SOMEONE is.

I hope he rams it down their throats so they can then take advantage of the public health care and get the damage stitched up.

Are you saying that this proposed healthcare bill is aimed at repairing Medicaid and Medicare? I think you have been misled if you are saying that.

Fixing those two things could probably be done without public option or any other part of this bill.
