Yes. He has already stated his desire and he really needs what he would consider a political win if he is to have any relevancy at all regardless of the merits of the bill.
75% of Americans were against the stimulus and he stood there with his big inflated ego and smiled for the cameras as he signed that bill. Remember how they were attacking the "tea baggers" and Obama lied and acted like he didn't know anything about them.
This man does not listen to anyone but his ego and that beast he lives with with the expensive tennis shoes.
The majority of Americans WANT healthcare reform. There will never be a 100% agreement to that but it is in the best interest of Americans that it happens.
I wish that MY money wasn't going to pay YOUR "Socialism Security" check every month but that is in the best interest of older Americans.
Why can't those who do not want it have an "opt-out" option?
Then we could just ignore you all...
The rest of us will still have to pay the new taxes. But this isn't about health care and it never has been. This is about seizing control of our incomes in the name of health care reform. Once single payer is enacted, the premiums, fines and all other taxes that can be rationalized will be diverted to other projects that buy votes for Democrats (see stimulus) while the new public option is grossly underfunded. The long waits for treatment will be used to further justify even more taxes, fees, fines and higher premiums. The stimulus was a one time deal, but this scam is the gift that keeps on giving. Public option is essentially Christmas morning for Democrats all year long.

If "us" is people making over $250,000/yr (single; $400,000/yr family), yes you will pay more taxes.

Where are your getting your statistics? No the majority of American's were NOT against the stimulas. When has ANY politicians listened to the majority of us? Had they listened, we never would have gone to IRAQ, we NEVER would have gone to KuWait and we never would have gone to Vietnam. Taxes would Never go up. So again, when have politicans listened to the majority of American's? Maybe its your ego that's in the way.
