I really think he's right on this considering the people involved and the era. He's not making up what those things symbolize.

So many years of alcohol abuse has pickled his brain. It would be sad if it were not for the fact that he is leading so many people of limited mental ability people down the road to insanity. This kind of thing has destroyed other countries and will, in the end, destroy ours as well. A house divided amongst itself can not stand.
Remember those old commercials from the 1980's about drugs: "This is your brain...This is your brain on drugs...Any questions?" with the egg and the frying pan?
Well, someone should produce a new version: "This is your brain...This is your brain post-alcoholism...Do you really want to turn out like him?" with an audio/video montage of some of Beck's idiotic, hysterical rampages as the "after."
