The U.S. Census Director has severed all ties with ACORN, and sent them a letter telling them that their services in collecting information for the US Census will not be needed.

This is because of the two videos of ACORN employees helping set up prostitution business that have been aired recently. The videos were made by an activist and a friend (she posed as a prostitute, he, a pimp), and ACORN employees telling them how to set up their business and obtain housing (and it involved bringing in underage females from El Salvidor) with out raising suspicion, and how to file a bogus tax return.

Only Fox covered this story. Are we surprised?

Imagine what those census numbers would have looked like if ACORN had a hand in them ?

Thank you for posting that! I stand corrected. I must say, I am surprised.

I would only comment that the aricle seems a bit biased, in that it has not only been Republicans charging ACORN with voter fraud, but STATES. Fourteen states have sued ACORN.

Um, the AP covered it, and Faux picked it up from them.

Good for severing ties, though, that indicates there's some ugly stuff going on there. Too bad.

Yes, thank you. Someone else mentioned that. I admit I am surprised, but all the same, it's good news.

They certainly did take a risk. Now we need to convince our Representatives to deny them the billions of dollars they are supposed to get out of the "stimulus".
