All the programs and policies that have captured or killed AQ operatives were put in place by Bush.

Obama is in the process of tearing those programs apart, inviting more attacks.

The most important thing to realize is what this guy Zazi represents. He is a member of what could be called a cell. Anyone who has studied gorilla warfare understands the high probability that this man is most likely a member of a large group of cells already in place in this country. We should most likely expect these cells to be producing results in the near future. Stopping the inevitable is not realistic. These groups are designed so that even if we catch some of these people before they do harm, they themselves have no knowledge which can help us stop the others who are attempting the same thing.

A suspected al Qaeda terrorist from Queens has reportedly admitted to the feds that he has ties to the group after being questioned for a third straight day.

The official said Zazi had received explosives training and his possible guilty plea would be part of a deal to cooperate with the government.

Inauguration of Barack Obama January 20, 2009

Yep, Obama has indisputably kept us safer longer. The guy was most likely not waterboarded Dick (Cheney).
HUH??? Are you serious????
Bush inhereited a security network in disarray. FBI didn't share info with the CIA.....left hand didn't talk to right hand....no human intel over seas. Meanwhile Billy was getting BJ's in the Oval office......no wonder Bush ran into a buzz saw.

Obama has inherited a security program that was already in progress. Bush set it up for him. Bush didn't leave him the way Clinton left it for him. It didn't stop and start all over again! The Big O has only been in office for 8 months. And rarely has he sat down long enough to pay close attention to this stuff.

As a matter of fact, don't get too use to seeing this kind of law enforcement work in the near future. After Holder and Obama dismantle the CIA, we will be hit again.

I can see that obama in eight months has doen anyhting that makes us more or less safe. He is just satrtign to formualte how he will respond tot eh terrorist. He is about to decide tha afgansitan question as his first response;otherwsie he has p[retty much contimued the Bush politces except for withdrawing some trops form Iraq and putting a few troops in afganistan. The Iran thre4at is another he is just satrting on. So really nothig to compare. After 9-11 Bush's record has been perfect;before that both his and clinton's failed to recognise the threat at all;which is what happens in reactionay societies like our. For example IMo we have gotten complacent since ;but one attack will change everyhthing.

Closing GITMO is a bone head move.

So what happens when a captured terrorist does not give a crap about serving or not serving time in prison, and they cannot offer a lighter sentence as a bargaining chip?

I'm trying to figure out (from reading the article) what exactly has been accomplished here. And...I'm wondering what all this wonderful coverage is going to do for the case.
