Some of the posters in here have complained about Wal Mart and other companies taking out insurance policies on their employees. What if Uncle Sam took out a policy on you as part of health insurance reform? I heard it mentioned today.

Inquiring minds want to know.

As long as they don't have death squads to hasten my demise, and the policy only covers certain types of death. Plus, I want to know what I get in return while I am alive. I want more than a pink cardboard casket covered with red white and blue smiley faces from Wal Mart, made in China. Not keen on their health insurance. But if I had USam life insurance, they would collect something to cover our funerals. They could cover a lot of stuff. Health, and funerals for people who aren't rolling in money to pay premiums.

I just heard it in a discussion so not sure what the intent would be.

Actually, cardboard caskets are the new "green casket". Less raw resources, more environmentally friendly. That and death bogs, which was quite shocking to me when I heard about it. In warm, moist areas they can "bury" you in the open so your body decomposes faster. No embalming, no casket, and all that wacko green thinking. I think it was Florida.

I want a simple gold sarcophagus - something in the 24ct variety with a few encrusted diamonds. Nothing fancy.
