I dont understand how anyone can say this spending is NOT getting out of control.
Because people have been conditioned to think that deficit spending has no consequences. Deficits mean borrowed money. Borrowed money means interest payments or, in Washington-speak, servicing the debt. At some point the interest payments will balloon and be so large as to consume most of current tax revenues. That will leave little for other federal entitlements, like Social Security. And at that point the choice will be to short change either the creditors who hold our debt or retired and disabled people. Whom do you think will take it in the shorts?

I can only hope that Obama will keep his word on this one and not sign this bill if it increases our premiums. Many can't afford to pay higher premiums with a lack of work right now.
