Get real. Before Arafat there was a thriving Christian presence in what the Palestinians call "Palestine." Because of Muslim threats, intimidation and violence most have fled, many coming to this country. The same if happening in southern Lebanon where Hezlollah hods sway. We forget that the Middle East was once Christian until Islam conquered and converted by the sword.

Is this the same Taliban someone said were "moderates" to make a deal with?

Yes this is the same Taliban that both George W. Bush and Barack Obama have considered opening talks and dialog with.

(found via this interesting website): Quote from previous poster.

The articles are the most frightening things I've read in a long time, a real threat to any life as we have struggled for and know it, not to mention the pressing impendingness of it all. In reading all these it seems to me that there is often a common thread --

"Kidnapping of women to make them brides, killing of women because a man is embarassed, physically examining a woman to see if she's wearing a bra, making a woman shake her breasts to proved she's not wearing a bra, the genital mutilation of women, the rewarding of virgins in paradise, the covering up of women so that (uncontrolable) men won't rape them, the taking of women as war booty."

--- These people have a big problem with sexual domination and cruelty!

I believe that might be part of the 10 Secrets of Medjugorje about conversions.

I recall I did read that somewhere.

So this makes what the Pakistans are doing correct? When does two wrongs ever make a right? By the way, the Christian leaders in Pakistan had absolutely NOTHING to do with how the Christians acted towards the Native Americans in the 1600's.
