Must have been a shocker for Dirty Harry Reid. This is the sneaky little legislation, $250 Billion, that won't be included in the HC bills, but definitely should. Another trick, smoke and mirrors.

Why can't these people be honest, straightforward and transparent.

When they do crap like this, it makes the public very suspicious and rightly so - maybe that's why their ratings are at an all time low.

Senate Rejects ‘Doc Fix’ Spending Bill, as Some Democrats Side With Republicans - Prescriptions Blog - NYTimes.com

Quote:
Senate Democratic leaders had pushed the bill, which would have cost $247 billion over 10 years, as a standalone measure separate from the broader health care legislation that is President Obama’s top domestic priority.

Because Democrats did not propose offsetting the cost of fixing the doctor-payment formula, the bill would have added the full cost of $247 billion to future deficits.

The Senate Republican leader, Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, said that Wednesday’s vote represented a first signal of bipartisan opposition to the Democrats’ larger health care proposals.
Can anyone calculate what the unfunded liability of Medicare would be if they actually paid full fees to doctors?

Obama is going to have a huge problem with his own party, especially if the republicans take the two upcoming elections. He will have no coattails to ride and the democrats in the house and senate won't be willing to sacrifice their careers to give a win to a lame duck president.

Thank heavens they read that bill. Trying to pull a fast one.

I'm sure there will be more like this trying to sneak in under the radar.
What's a few hundred extra billion or so ?

Reid is a goner. He is working real hard to screw more things up before he goes.

He has always been a sneaky piece of crap and now hiding things in bills seems to be his way of doing things.

Even his own party members are staying away from him, they are afraid his downfall will effect them in 2010.
