I am far from right wing, and although I do not support the public options, I am all for single payer. I believe we should take care of our own people, not take care of the worlds people. We just can't afford it.

Look at it like this...

Lets pretend you live in a city and there is a highway that you take to work every day. As time goes by, traffic on that highway becomes worse and worse. So you think to yourself, we need to fix the problem, how do we do it? The simple answer is usually "add another lane", that should help. Right?

Well, adding another lane helps for a while, but eventually you'll have to continue adding more and more lanes. Because it doesn't fix the underlying cause of traffic problems congestion. The increase in personal vehicles on the road.

If you make it easy for everyone to drive by adding more lanes, you are only encouraging more and more people to drive. If you want to keep people from driving, the best way to do it is make it less convenient.

The problem with our immigration policy is the same concept. People come here illegally because we don't discourage it. We pay for their healthcare, we provide them with assistance. We don't enforce the law, and we make excuses like "they do the jobs other people don't want to do", which is ridiculous, especially at the current unemployment rates.

The honest truth is, if we were a more homogenous society like many European countries and Japan. We could have more social programs to help the people of America. Instead we have millions and millions of minorities, legally and illegally, and too many people DO NOT WANT THEM HERE. They are making this country worse off, they are creating a huge divide, and anger and resentment.

You may call it racism and elitism. I call it reality. The real Americans don't want to pay for illegal Mexicans or Islamic extremists living in this country, because some idiot in Washington thinks multiculturalism is a good idea(and abandoning the proven policy of the melting pot).

The solution is for all 320 million of us to go out and rob the nearest bank. Then we'll take our places in the vast prison-complex system and receive free health care on the government dime for life.

Fair enough. But, you are aware the cost of it would (according to numbers put up by dems, to be fair) cheaper than the what we spend in Afghanistan and Iraq every year? It would cost about as much as we spend on prisons.

True. But in terms of healthcare that doesnt apply. For a large number of people, they simply cant get on to the highway, and a good chunk of those that can afford to arent allowed to use more than one lane.

You are half right about immigration. People come here because.

1. They can make a lot more than they can where they are from.

2. Businesses, construction and farmers hire immigrant labor instead of american labor to escape paying fair wages.

People want to attack the immigrants for coming, yet ignore the businesses that employ them. They are just people trying to get ahead in life, just like everyone else.

That is the DUMBEST THING IVE EVER HEARD. The majority of welfare benefits and subsidies go to whites. The majority of crime is committed by whites. The only people that seem to have a problem with others and balancing the system is, well, white males.

Im not saying all white males, but the white male demographic consists of 1/3 of the nation, yet controls 90% of its wealth, and represents roughly the same in government. Its quacking, its waddling, its got a bill and feathers.

You are relying on stereotypes and racialist nonesense. This isnt stormfront pal.

The 'Americans' you refer to in many states, and MOST cities are now majority non white. If anyone is getting the crap end of the stick, its those majorities, who get policy decided by a legion of uneducated yokels who believe any stereotype you tell them with a smile.

You are missing the point. The major complaint from Republicans about the public option is that, they are afraid it will cover illegal immigrants. On top of that, there is a feeling that the wealthy(which is disproportionately white), are going to be subsidizing the poor(disproportionally represented by minorities).

Republicans almost always use a black or mexican as an example for the ills of welfare. They make minorities the enemy and it works.

So I have to wonder. Why is allowing millions of Mexicans and muslims to come into this country a good thing? Do you not understand that they just create more problems for us?

You can call me a bigot all you want. And maybe I am. But I mostly just look out for the betterment of this country. Our current immigration policy makes things worse for EVERYONE in this country. The only people benefiting are the people coming into it from countries that are worse off.
