I'm still a little bitter because I had my old truck vandalized because of the Darwin placard I had. The legs were torn off and 'JESUS SAVES' keyed into the side. Putting your religious affiliation (or lack thereof) can be dangerous to your possessions to say the least.
I am all for expression your faith or lack of faith on YOUR property. When the religious radical crazies come along and do this, they are wrong and should be PUNISHED for trashing YOUR property.

This is one thing I hate about the religion right. They are just hypocritical and worthless beyond means. It is ok if THEY have their say but heaven forbid anyone else have their say!

Yeah...you'll probably have a hard time finding a Christian to support what happened to that person's car.

The left looks for one or two examples and tries to make them seem like the norm. It's sad that you need to resort to those tactics.

Wrong. If a state affords a privilege to one religion, and refuses to offer that same privilege to other religions, it would be in violation of the first amendment.

Yet it's not particularly difficult to find christians who will actually DO such things.

Do you really think that the religious (Not just Xtians) who actually condone this will come out and say it? Of course not, they'll say 'Oh my! I can't believe that happened to you!!' while thinking 'Serves her right'.

It's a human thing... people are nearly always going to say the thing that puts them in a good public light, while thinking silently what they really feel.

Honestly, I don't care what kind of plate you put on your car. Would I ever put an Atheist plate on mine?? HELL NO.

A state making up a license plate that is not an attempt by the U.S. Congress to establish a religion, besides, where in the U.S. Constitution does it tell a state what it can and cannot do with regards to allowing citizen of their state to display a religious symbol. What we are talking about amounts to nothing more then a bumper sticker slogan, and I fail to see how that is trying to coerce people into following a religion.

Your car belongs to you. The license plate belongs to the state. What you want is the equivalent of a right to scrawl religious graffiti on the side of a government building. This is all the respect that some are able to muster. Religious rights in this country are individual. They extend to the tips of your fingers, and they END THERE...

Fine, then there should be NO PERSONALIZED plates at all..since you say they are STATE OWNED ....to include your favorate team, save the polar bears, etc

and that inclueds ATHEISM,,,which like all the ISM's (judism, budism, catholism) is a religion

I find this one to be offensive

Would have been nice had you been able to spell any religion correctly.
I love the "Eat The Kids First".
