The fact that these are two women, and that that's what strikes your fancy, says that it's a double-standard to me. I see this all the time, where there is acceptance of female homosexuality for the male response. The same "I kissed a girl and I liked it" load of rubbish that degrades women and turns them into sexual objects and fetishes, is the exact same mechanism at work in rendering homosexual relations between men categorically reprehensible. It's all rooted in sexism and homophobia, as far as I'm concerned, and I won't stand by and watch it slide.

I'd like you to go into my post history and find anywhere where I say that I find homosexual relations in between men reprehensible.

I'm bisexsual myself, y'now.

Would you say the same to a woman who gets into Mass Effect simply to see the lesbian sex scene? You seem to be getting in a rage due to the fact that men are stating this, and that seems to scream "double standard".

What about men being turned into sexual objects and fetishes? Do you have a problem with that?

In the game, you can also be a male character and get another male character "interested". There are a number of games like this.

Explain to me how heterosexuality can be objectified. I'm curious to know.
After you explain how homosexuality is being objectified. There's both homosexual sex and heterosexual sex in that game.

This has nothing to do with anything, and I think that game was before my time.
I was just pointing out that the LGBT thing in games has been around since the SNES.

Well, technically it can. Any sexuality can be objectified.

I know more than my share of gay guys who enjoy straight pornography over gay pornography, with attention focus on the performance of the male, of course.

Heck, there's even the "Straight for pay" genre pioneered by Chi Chi La Rue!

I'm not talking about you, specifically. I'm speaking generally.

Yes. I see it as part of a larger issue that has privileged the pornographic inclinations of heterosexual men at the expense of gay men and women.

If we are talking relations between homosexual men being turned into an object, as I am arguing, they clearly do not have the same popularity or recognition, and probably never will in a male-dominated, heterosexist world. I wouldn't have a "problem" with any of it, if the playing field was even, but that is clearly not the case for women or gay men.

It's not being turned into an object. It's the end result of a series of choices made in a video game. You can either get a male or female interested in you. It's all variables.

Fantabulous.

In the context that it was used in this thread, it was being objectified, as it is commonly in other media depictions.

OK.

These are drawings, not real people. It's really not all that titillating, it's just cuiriosity that drives most people to watch it. If people wanted to get excited they would just look at porn.
