"Everyone understands the extraordinary hardships that are placed on the uninsured, who live every day just one accident or illness away from bankruptcy. These are not primarily people on welfare. These are middle-class Americans. Some can't get insurance on the job. Others are self-employed, and can't afford it, since buying insurance on your own costs you three times as much as the coverage you get from your employer. Many other Americans who are willing and able to pay are still denied insurance due to previous illnesses or conditions that insurance companies decide are too risky or too expensive to cover. We are the only democracy -- the only advanced democracy on Earth -- the only wealthy nation -- that allows such hardship for millions of its people. There are now more than 30 million American citizens who cannot get coverage. In just a two-year period, one in every three Americans goes without health care coverage at some point. And every day, 14,000 Americans lose their coverage. In other words, it can happen to anyone."

When voters understand Obamacare, they like it. (even Republicans) "

I did a search of the forum and couldn't find where anyone had posted this article.

Good article about Obama Care... 5 key points to remember.

I did a search and couldn't find that anyone had posted this article that was published on July 6th, right after the Supreme Court Decision.

Here's the link to the article.... Bob Burnett: Defending Obamacare: 5 Basics

Repeal it as fast can be done.

Default The 5 points of the article...

Apparently everyone here's mind is closed and has no reason to read the article.

Here are the 5 points:

1. Obamacare reflects values, not policy.
2. Healthcare is a right, not a product.
3. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) regulates insurance companies; it does not regulate healthcare.
4. Obamacare will lower insurance costs.
5. Obamacare will decrease the deficit.

Here's another article, this one's from CNN... it's about an actual human being whose life has been saved by the new health care law.

'Obamacare' symbol: Court ruling is 'right direction' - CNN.com

I read it, it is a good article and it is very true people just don't understand the law. This isa success and good fort he country yet a few people want to devalue it and spread falsehoods. The masses then believe what they hear and go along with the herd, even if it is in a stampede for no reason.

There are a few years of growing pains as it implements but it isn't any different than we would have if we privatized Social Security... We would have years of funding the legacy people at a massive expense but at some point the gov would be out of the retirement business. a good end , but very expensive to get there.

The early years of AFHC will also be the most expensive but in short order it will generate a surplus and to my hope absorb medicare and medicaid as well as the VA healthcare. I hope for more efficiency and would love to see the role of insurance companies reduced... they are the cause of high health care costs and nothing else.

A CNN flunky?
They do all your thinking for you?

Yeah, Obama/Pelosicare is so d@mn great that there are a few Thousand waivers that have been handed out .. so far!

20% of those waivers went to Pelosi's people and the majority of the rest? .. They go to the one's who poured tons of money into the fight FOR the scam .. Union Members!

Wonder WHY the one's who screamed the loudest to have the monstrosity passed are now the one's who have opted out?

And WHY would the wicked witch of the west coast would give waivers to HER people since she is responsible for it .. You tell me?

And why is that? Obamacare does many good things including lowering the cost of HC; keeps children 26 and under on their parent's plans; eliminates pre-existing condition discrimination; and stops deadbeats from bilking the ERs.

What's wrong with that?

It lowers the cost of healthcare for the government, decreases the deficit, covers more Americans, and makes people pay for the coverage they've been getting for free for decades.

BUT, I hate the mandate.

Have you done that?

If so, tell us why lowering the deficit, and requiring people who've received free healthcare to pay for it is a bad thing?

Look, I hate the individual mandate, because giving the federal government any power to say "you've got to buy this" scares the living **** out of me.

But the facts are simple. You can't mandate care, without payment, on the federal level and expect people to pay for it. Its something for nothing, and people will always take that option when available.

But Americans don't want people to die without care either.

So we are in a catch 22. Don't want to give free care, but we don't want to let people die with no care either.

So that leaves two choices, and both are a government option. Mandates, or single payer.

Otherwise, you want to let people die without care, a position not supported by the American voter.
