This is classic passive-aggressive behavior. Make offensive comments about people and then when they get upset, say that they're being too sensitive, or that you're just joking. Yeah, right.
I could simply careless to be honest, but in general I don't think its a good idea to start teaching sexual fetishes in school. The fact you want to compare fetishes to orientation shows a severe lack of ability to reason.
