“If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed, if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly, you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a small chance of survival. There may even be a worse case: you may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”

— Winston Churchill

If the Republicans don't begin fighting soon they can just let those 60 Senators destroy our republic. They just aren't doing all they can do to keep this supposed healthcare reform from happening.

When did it become "your republic"? We have as much claim to it as anybody else.
The destruction has already happened. The rebuilding has begun.

I guess I missed the part you are talking about. Did Erick say something about Canada other than that they have some kind of single payer care? Sorry but I missed what you seem to have seen.

I guess I am surely blind. Most Republicans don't want single payer and we all know that Barney Frank told some real single payer libs that public option was the first step since they just don't have the votes in Congress to get single payer, yet.

Hysteria? Lets wait till McConnell figures out what Erick was talking about there. Did you read all of that article, or any of it?

How about an unintentional humor thread - have the Right describe what they consider as 'freedoms'.
From what I've noticed during the last 8 years it was the Right that seemed apathetic about freedoms.

Sorry but I am still waiting to have some prog tell me how public option begins the rebuilding of what other than being the first step to single payer which very few want.

Have you noticed al the crap that Dirty Harry is managing to bring more Dems in with him? Can you say it is the Dems who are making Harry pull all those tricks? How about the fact that they hold 60 seats and can't get enough without all the shenanigans he is pulling?

It seems that many Dems don't want public option and others don't want to pay for abortion, yet Harry is writing it all in his locked chambers and even Dems don't know what all he has in there. Do you? I heard some Dem Senators admit to not knowing this morning on TV.

I don't think you read the suggestions by Erickson either. Somehow you are talking about something other than what he talked about there. You wouldn't be trying that old prog method called deflection, would you?

Is there some way those illiterate Taliban got ahold of this? Cause they've been fighting like they've heard it. Unlike their brothers, uncles and nephews in the Afghan army that we've spent billions in American blood and dollars to prop up--they're the ones that need this speech.
