Calif. bankruptcies decline faster than U.S. filings | bankruptcies, population, filed - Business - The Orange County Register

California business bankruptcies decline faster than rest of the country. Notice how I used an article from last month instead of an article from 2009? California is actually doing much better than the rest of the country on this score.

Quote:
The states with the highest bankruptcy rate per capita are:
• Nevada, 7.06 filings per 1,000 population
• Tennessee, 6.99
• Georgia, 6.49
• Utah, 6.12
• Alabama, 5.88
All red state crapholes but you'll never hear about them on Fox Noise or limpballs show. Reality just doesn't matter to our right wing friends.

Oh...okay -- glad to hear that California is doing so wonderfully. Make sure they all know it over there so they don't get any ideas of some federal taxpayer bailout.

Simple math if more businesses collapsed earlier than were subsequently created than there are now fewer left to collapse now. Therefore a smaller rate.

Are you aware how many small businesses fail per annum even in healthy economic times?

Glad to hear CA recovered so well. You might want to pass that onto Moody's because they are about to do an analysis on CA municipalities regarding bond ratings as they are worried about future bankruptcies used to get out of repaying their bond debt.
