American Glob » Blog Archive » VIDEO: Parker Griffith Talks About His Switch to the GOP with Mark Steyn on Hannity (http://americanglob.com/2009/12/24/video-parker-griffith-talks-about-his-switch-to-the-gop-with-mark-steyn-on-hannity/ - broken link)

I liked what this guy had to say and would be interested in hearing more about his stance on the issues.

Agreed! I would like to hear more. Need to study up on his voting record too. Though, as I understand it, he had enough brass ones to vote against the stimulus when many GOPers did not.

Same here. He was on FNC today. Didn't pay much attention due to the food I was shoving in my face , but I watched his press conference when he was doing it, and I loved it. Just another newfound member of the Common Sense party!

Last week, when he still had a "D" next to his name, he was probably considered to be socialist scum by many of the people who are now praising him for his integrity.

Im totally unimpressed by democrats and republicans.

The GOP's 'common sense' only seems to benefit rich corporations. Everyone else be damned. The rank and file believe one thing but the party platform and legislative moves are thinly veiled attempt to shield the rich but more specifically, massive companies such as insurance and energy concerns. I can't stand that.

By many accounts, I should be a Republican, but Id rather be a Democrat because I don't question their motives. The Dems truly want to help ALL AMERICANS and of that much, I am very confident. I might hate much of what they say and do, but the core of their work is totally geared towards improving our lives.

I don't trust a damn thing most GOP lawmakers say blame Bush and Cheney for that. Blame Trent Lott for that. Blame John ******** for that. Blame Tom DeLay for that. Blame Dick Armey for that. Blame the corporate media for that.

I'd be more impressed if he became an Independent or a Libertarian.

And I suspect Arlen Spector was considered a right wing extremist until he switch parties? Please! Some of us actually pay attention to voting record and not the initial behind the name.

Good for you, but I think you're in the minority.

I think I heard that he's now being called the most liberal Republican by some Republican congressman, so it's probably just a matter of time before some posters here start calling him a RINO.

I heard his voting record is 84% with the democrats. He'll be the most liberal repub in the house.
