How Many People Who Post In The Political Forum Remember These Things (gasoline, military)

How many of these do you actually remember in your life. Do you think any of these or not experiencing most or many of these influence how you do things or think today compared to others who post here?
1. Only 13 TV channels and only 3 TV choices for news.
2. Getting news when you went to the movie theater, either before or between two movies (yes, two movies, one ticket).
3. Whites Only/Colored Only signs
4. The saying, "Hey, hey LBJ, how many kids did you kill today?"
5. Party line telephone in your home
6. Rotary dial telephone in your home
7. No computers in the home
8. Black and white TV shows
9. Not having air conditioning in your home.
10. Personally owning a typewriter.
11. Personally owning a phonograph.
12. Mimeographed copies in school
13. School drills in case of a nuclear bombing
14. A stay-at-home mother
15. Going "to church" at the drive in movie theater
16. Out of town homes for embarrassed unwed teenage mothers
17. Lining up for gasoline every other day depending on your odd/even license plate number.

good lord that's a long list, what is it supposed to tell you about me if I say that I have personally experienced 20 of them?
oh and to answer your other question, the only significance i see in this list and how I would be different than other CD poster is that i did not come from a religious background and never went to church, unless it was for a wedding. I believe that colors my perception of the rest of the world and I'm sure you're opinion of me.

9. Not having air conditioning in your home. Don't have AC in my house currently...haven't for about 8 years.

I bolded the ones I remember. I believe we only had 5 or 6 channels when I was a kid. And you had to get up to change the channel, a dial on the front of the TV.
I didn't HAVE a SAHM, but I am one. Does that count?

30. Give us one of your own. I remember when most people only had one car and when the dad took it to go to work the rest of the family was stuck at home unless they chose to walk or bike to where they wanted to go.
Oh wow. I remember lots of these. We had a party phone line on our rotary phone, and our phone number actually started with letters. Also remember when you could only buy pop in the glass soda bottles where you needed a bottle opener.
good lord that's a long list, what is it supposed to tell you about me if I say that I have personally experienced 20 of them?
I'll give you some examples. Do you think a person, that is used to instant information/instant communication/instant video to expose liars and hypocrites almost immediately, has a more jaded outlook about political leaders and their slow/fast reaction to problems/issues? Do you think a person who was never exposed to the military draft has the same opinions of war as people who were drafted or might have been drafted?
