Ever consider that this is by design? If the US sold the technology direct to China(or perhaps it is the technology that is being traded for consideration of the continued money borrowing from the Chinese), the backlash could(but not likely) be damaging to the Federal gubmint in general. Let the middle man be the scapegoat.........

Why would I be surprised.
WE borrow money from communist china, give it to a military dictator in Pakistan so we can bring "democracy" to IRAQ.
This sounds like a normal process to me when dealing with this insane government.
Then we wonder why we support Israel and at the same time arm the other 12 Arab nations around Israel. Hmmm that is very confusing.
But after all government is clearly fit to come up with a suitable health care plan.
My post was NOT partisan to any administration one way or the other. Just pointing out the fact that our gov't is corrupt. Doesn't matter to me how you want to slice and dice it.
Well Isreal sold Iran weapons in the 1980s, so this eposode does not surprise me.
