Rush Limbaugh has been saying, "Hey everyone, look at ME!! LISTEN to ME!! I want your attention!!! I'm CONTROVERSIAL!!! What will get your attention? You want me to say something mean?? OK - don't give money to Haiti! There, I said it!! I'm CONTROVERSIAL! LOOK AT ME! LISTEN TO ME!!! TALK ABOUT ME!!! ME! MEEEE!!!! MEEEEE!!!!"

There are two types of people - those who worship Rush and those who know he's an idiot and a jackass. Those who worship him are what he is, by association.

Anytime any news breaks, Rush predictably takes the unpopular view and crows on and on, seeking the attention for it, whining about the people who say he's nuts/wrong/closed-minded/whatever.

He's pretty much a charicature of himself at this point, which is what happens when people become irrelevant.

I'm sure within a year or two, people won't even give him any thought, he'll go the way of Ann Coulter and his desperate cries for attention won't so much as raise an eyebrow from anyone. Maybe then he'll be able to come out of the closet.

I remember way back when Rush was relevent and on topic. Now - not so much. Yet another case of someone whose time has come and gone and ought to retire gracefully.

After his remarks during the Haiti crisis, I expect his radio show sponsors to start dissociating themselves from Rush.

I dont know, as you know there are people who worship him and take their life-cues from him. I think he'll stay in the closet, too.
