Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab is a young educated Nigerian who allegedly tried to blow up Delta flight 253 bound for Detroit, on Christmas Day. Imam Luqman Ameen Abdullah, shot to death in nearby Dearborn by FBI agents last October 28, was an African-American felon with an apparent penchant for stolen goods and a far-fetched wish to establish a Shariah state on American soil.

He wanted to create a Sharia State here in the United States? The real question is....why wasn't he shot 21 times?

My first reaction to reading this was of course the FBI used excessive force. The coroner stated he was shot 21 times with his hands handcuffed behind his back. That can only be murder, whether or not this guy was a criminal or even a jihadist. An investigation is merited.

But then I read these two quotes:

Says Ibrahim Aljahim, a Yemeni-American leader: "Islam is a peaceful religion, while these terrorists are non-believers, and hypocrites."

"Although Luqman was a black man, he was an imam. If one imam can be killed by law enforcement, any imam can be killed by law enforcement," said Dawud Walid, a local Muslim leader.

Wtf? How can these two diametrically opposed ideas co exist? Either this imam was a hypocrite and terrorist or he was a respected imam. He cannot be both things. To me this highlights the problems within the American Islam community. They must either put their country before imams who would preach jihad or admit that they are in fact for violent jihad. They cannot have it both ways.

It seems to me that both the right and left wings could agree that shooting a citizen while he was handcuffed is not only illegal but outrageous.

The shooters had better have a very, very good reason beyond being cops.

Exactly. The rule of law must be followed by everyone - most especially by those sworn to uphold it.

They might need to train with taller reactive targets back at Quantico. I sense a pending lawsuit; midgets everywhere must be furious.

He shot and killed an FBI dog. He should have been shot 1000 times for that act alone.

Not to mention, they saved the taxpayers an expensive and lengthy trial for this scumbag. Good riddance and Allah Akbar!
