The only jobs created by and large were government jobs... hence the rapid expansion of government under this administration.
The word "only" and the phrase "by and large" contradict each other. That said, though there is a case to be made concerning private vs. public sector, it's far better to have a job than not, regardless of which sector is employed.
Digging holes? LOL. I'm talking about private vs. public sector, not digging holes vs. harvesting wheat.
If you lost your job, would you turn down an offer because it's in the public sector?
Of course not. No sane person would. The point is, should the government supply jobs to every unemployed person in this country for the simple fact that they will no longer be unemployed? That's what you are proposing??

In the long run - no.
In the short run - whatever it takes.

LOL! All I said was a job is better than no job, public or private sector. And it appears you agree with me.
If...I'll say it again...IF the private sector is not creating jobs, then the government can play a role in stimulating the economy. That's what I'm saying, which is a far cry from the government supplying jobs "to every unemployed person in this country."

So in your (liberal) view, it's the government's responsibility to employ all unemployed. Got it.
