No, not like the 'n' word. The 'n' word has a centuries-long history of disrespect and domination where as the terms 'teabagger and teabagging' haven't been around long enough to establish whether, or not, they will make it out of the urban dictionaries and into mainstream dictionaries. (Neither 'teabag' word appears in the 1982 addition of Slangs and Euphemisms which contains every dirty word, slur, and insult in written history.)

Common usage of 'teabagging' and 'teabagger' will shape and refine its meaning over time. If the Tea Party Movement dies out, so will the chances that the words will ever appear in mainstream dictionaries. If the party stays around the sub-cultural meaning of the words will fall by the wayside and the words will become mainstream in their definition and will become accepted to mean people who support the party. Sorry some people don't like it but that train has left the station and you can't stop it.

Like it or not I think the name has been attached to the movement.
Only by idiots who have no clue, Joeyboy.

Most people understand what the Tea Party movement is (Taxed Enough Already) and understand it's roots (The Boston Tea Party); ever hear of that, Joeyboy? Probably not. You do not know American History. You're a product of the Government schools. Brainwashed.

How's that "Hope and Change" workin' for ya, Joeyboy? Are you still employed? What "hope" do you have for your future? I'll answer that; "none". Obama will take as much of your income as he can, and give it to those who do not earn. If you try to "get ahead", he will punish you by taking that much more. Is that "hope" in your view? Is it even "American"? No, it is not.

When Obama said he was going to "fundamentally change" the United States of America, what did you think he meant?

We are in the processs of being "overthrown". Tyranny is what is coming, unless we stop these criminals.

Do you stand with America, or do you stand with Obama? You make the choice.

I did mean to say recession instead of inflation. Thanks for pointing that out.

But we are experience inflation right now:

Even though unemployment is high and business has lots of spare capacity, inflation has returned -- although you wouldn't know it from a glance at the behavior of the consumer price index.
...
It's a no-brainer. With at least two quarters of growth under our belts but sales still weak, many companies have apparently decided that this would be a great opportunity to boost profits by raising prices -- while the central bank still has the hammer down.
Inflation is moving faster than it looks Irwin Kellner - MarketWatch
Where are you finding "two quarters of growth"?

Raising prices, does not equate to lager profits. It is usualy done to offset increased costs (inflation). A company usually operates on a fixed profit margin. Price increases are designed to maintain it.

If no one is buying, raising prices is the last thing a company would do to increase profits.

I can tell, you have no clue how business works. You have no clue how an economy works. Have you thought of signing on with the Obama administration? You would be perfect.

Lucky for you there are smarter people around who will bail out your butt..!
Sorry sweetheart, The Tea Party is composed of poorly educated people who are easily lead by the nonsense they are fed by FAUX news and hateful power grabbing politicians on the right and who are horrified that we have a black president.

Socialism! Communism! Taxes! Indoctrination! Death Panels! Middle aged men running around in revolutionary costumes! Rednecks with guns at political rallies! "I want my country back!"

LOL!

But thats OK, you keep on "Teabagging For Jebus". It makes for some very entertaining photos.

Cries of creeping socialism are inaccurate.

Taxes are lower today for most americans than they were 2 years ago.

Granted, times are tough but the antecedents to those tough times are not taxes and the IRS and the size of government.

The original Boston Tea Party people were motivated by taxation without representation. These teabaggers have representation.

To me the Teabaggers are emblematic of the modern day tax protester: Irrational, deluded yet undaunted acting in purposeful ignorance.

Here's a better description:
What the narcissist is unable to work out through fantasy is simply repressed, put out of mind and kept from awareness. Beyond these, narcissists invent alibis, excuses, and “proofs†that seem [to themselves] plausible and consistent, and convince them of their continued stature and perfection.

These flimsily substantiated rationalizations are offered with an air of confidence and authority. As noted earlier, however, narcissists may never have learned to be skillful at public deception; they usually said and did what they liked without a care for what others thought. Their poorly conceived rationalizations may, therefore, fail to bring relief and, more seriously, may evoke scrutiny and deprecating comments from others.

At these times narcissists may be pushed to the point of employing projection as a defense. Unable to disentangle themselves from lies and inconsistencies, and driven by their need to maintain their illusion of superiority, they may begin to turn against others, accusing the latter of their own deceptions, their own selfishness, and their own irrationalities.
Theodore Millon, Ph.D., “Disorders of Personality; DSM-III: Axis II,†p. 168 (John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 1981).

There is no creeping socialism. The US is one of the most lightly taxed first world countries on the planet. The TB'ers have little understanding of tax laws, history or economic facts. There's no meat on the bone with these people...it's really delusion at work.
We have "representation"? Where? Who? They aren't listening, or have you not noticed?

The Tea Party Movement is made up of very well informed people. They know what's going on, and they know what it means. The movement comprises people of all ages. Do you think young people are stupid? They know what's going on, and they are prepared to preserve their liberty.

Those who are bashing the "Tea Party" movement are the ones that are uninformed. They are simply folowers, and they are drinking the "Kool-Aide" of the Obama administration.

But; if you're ready to give up your liberty, and abandon our Constitution for a totalitarian government, please; just move to Cuba, Venezuela or any other place that is more to your liking than a free country.

Sorry "sweetheart". You're the one that is uninformed. Open your eyes. Look around you.

Your problem is that you have no education in American History. You do not know who we are, or why we are here. You have no clue what America is. Poorly educated people? Yep. Those are the Obama followers.

If you don't like the word "teabagger" used in a political context, take it up with FOX news.

From Wikipedia:

"The label "teabagging" has been applied to Tea Party protests in general,[15] and to the specific protest gesture of mailing a tea bag to the White House.[16][17] ... While at the same time, used unwittingly by other members of the Tea Party Movement as a self description. In a 14 March report on Fox News, Griff Jenkins said, "ReTeaParty.com has a headline, 'Teabag the fools in DC on Tax Day.' They want you ... to take a tea bag, put it an envelope, and mail it to the White House."[17]"

It seems to fit just fine. Like many words in English, "teabagger" can and does have multiple meanings.

All the adults here know which usage applies to a given situation, I would guess. Or at least hope.

Yeah, that's what makes it so much fun.

On edit: How does one engage in legitimate dialogue with birthers, flat earthers, ID proponents and folks who can't tell the difference between a fascist and a socialist?

Sure, and black people should use n**ger as a "badge of pride," too.
