"zero evidence"???
Obama's church of 20 years gave Farrakhan it's highest award, The Lifetime Achievement Award, featured him in their magazine, and gave him accolades of praise to a standing ovation. And that IS the point!

And of course the head of that church, Wright, who you conveniently neglect to mention, was practically a member of O's family for all those years.

These radicals and hatemongers were very much a part of Obama's life. And still would be if he hadn't been forced to separate himself for political reasons when he became a candidate for president. So who is the real Obama? The presidential candidate Obama or the pro-Wright, pro-Pfleger, pro-Farrakhan Obama who existed for all the years before then?

The award was NOT from the church, but from Trumpet Magazine. The decision to give the award was the magazine's and its publisher. Yes, the publisher was Rev. Wright's daughter. So Rev. Wright's daughter chose to give an award to Farrakhan at an event outside the church and that is the evidence that Farrakhan influenced Obama?

You didn't get the memo? Only teabaggers and conservatives are allowed to take issue with government policy. They're true patriots. Anyone else who is opposed to some action of the federal government is an anti-American hating radical.

Huhhh??
"the Trinity United Church of Christ (TUCC) bestowed its highest social achievement award upon Louis Farrakhan, the head of the Nation of Islam. This was facilitated through the church's publication Trumpet Magazine and presented at their end of the year awards gala. The award dubbed the Lifetime Achievement "Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. Trumpet" Award is named after the head pastor that married Barack and Michele Obama nee Robinson."

So let me get this straight. Obama's church announces the award through its official publication and presents it at the church's awards gala. And somehow, you reason, "the award was NOT from the church".
WTF?
Any neutral observer would be baffled by your logic.

Yes, that's the point.

Zero evidence.

Senator Obama was a common parishioner, not a church elder or magazine editor.

The magazine was NOT a church publication. The gala was the magazine's not the churches. The award came from the magazine.

Don't take my word for it, the following is from a Stanly Kurtz article that appeared in the Weekly Standard on 05/19/2008, Volume 013, Issue 34.

"In September 2005, Trumpet officially separated from Wright's church and became an independent entity.."

I'm still waiting for some evidence of these so-called awards or the organization that gave them. How long a wait do you think that's going to be?

There were no awards at the 2010 Living Legends event, as reported on both NewsHounds and Fox.

Reverend Wright’s Night « Liveshots

...but when Wright was paired up with Nation of Islam's Louis Farrakhan and Catholic priest, Father Michael Pfleger, there wasn't much said. In fact, the three sat quietly together, in the audience at Chicago's historic Regal Theatre, as honorees for a fundraiser called "Living Legends, Educating 365".

News Hounds: Sorry, O'Reilly, Wrong Again -- No Awards Ceremony at Living Legends in Chicago . . . Wright, Farrakhan and Pfleger Were Not Even on Stage Together . . . And I Know, 'Cause I Was There

"All right . . . and tonight, big show in Chicago . . . Farrakhan, Wright, Pfleger, all on the same stage, giving each other awards." Buzzer sounds -- wrong answer, again, Bill. Let me lend a hand . . . and the truth shall set you free. See, O'Reilly, I was at the Living Legends Educating 365 benefit tonight at the Regal Theater, a Chicago landmark on the south side. Let's start at zero, which basically equals the number of accurate facts you have: Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Minister Louis Farrakhan and Father Michael Pfleger were not on the stage last night -- it was a benefit concert, and no awards were given. And Reverend Wright giving himself an award? More bad reporting, Bill: Dr. Wright had nothing to do with the event, or its planning. With video.
Simply put, the event was a benefit concert. There were musical and comedy performances, and Wright, Farrakhan and Pfleger sat front and center -- in the audience -- and watched the show. They never hit the stage. They never gave a speech. They never received an award. At the end of the show, they rose and left the theater, along with the rest of the audience, mingled a moment and went their separate ways.

Why this red herring is being resurrected just because some obscure group gave them an award, is unclear. We knew as much about Obama's association (or lack thereof) with these people when he was elected as we know now. Get some new material once in awhile, will ya?

Don't have to. the old stuff hasn't really been examined yet. They why he got elected. The press wouldn't even explore or ask Obama the tuff questions. Yet they sent truck loads of journalists to Alaska to pick Palin's past apart.

so there's still lots to uncover with Mr. O.
