In the UK, no less. I thought they would have strong laws with regards to the protection of a citizen's private property. Wow!!

The gvt that is supposed to protect the people and their property has failed,which leaves them no choice but to take drastic measures.If that was me,I would confront the intruder thorw his belongings around and hit him in the knees with a baseball bat.Then tell the police that he became fighting mad and lunged at me screaming "I am going to kill you "
It would be his word against mine,the ambulance would pick him up, case closed.
