What has the Republican Party done to shrink the size of government when they've been in power?

Nope..nothing. If anything the government has gotten bigger and bigger with each passing year since 20 years ago.

I wouldn't just contain it to the Repubs though..the Dems have their fair share of expansion.

We do have a bloated government with more layers added on top of the non-functioning layers already there.

Remember how Homeland Security was supposed to be over the other agencies so that information didn't get lost ? Well that doesn't seem to be working since the Ft Hood shooting (plenty of public finger pointing) and the December plane threat (plenty of public finger pointing there too).
